KOOS BUSTER

Koos Buster graduated from the ceramics department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2018. Buster makes art to make the world more beautiful, making art is a way of celebrating life for him. For him, art is craziness that he wants to share as an artist. If he makes something beautiful or interesting, he wants to show it to the world. For him, an artist is a a pointer who points out themes that are important to him. With his work, he creates stories and theater to move people and amaze himself. 

In his work, Koos Buster is looking for the perfect foolishness or for something silly to be celebrated. As soon as an idea arises, he starts sketching. The sketches become the project. The clunkiness of a quick sketch often has the lines he wants to see reflected in the final work. Many houses are filled with pre-made interiors. For him as an artist, it is a necessity to honor imperfection.
